SPEAK TO THE BONES. THERE IS STILL LIFE TO BE LIVED.
Inspired by Ezekiel 37, Speak to the Bones carries a remembrance of the power of YHWH to restore hope where all seems lost. Six vintage illustrated panels bring that theme into the ordinary work of living: bake the bread, dance again, raise the littles, love hard, build the house, and keep the oil.
THE HEART BEHIND THE DESIGN
In Ezekiel’s vision, the valley of dry bones represents the house of Israel, whose hope seemed cut off. YHWH promises to open their graves, bring them back to their land, and put His Spirit within them so they live.
This artwork draws from that vision as a devotional reflection on renewed hope. The everyday scenes are our artistic response: returning to the table, caring for our families, making room for joy, and continuing the work entrusted to us.
REMNANT FAMILY, WHAT DO YOU SEE?
Perhaps you see the remains of a season you thought would turn out differently. A home you are learning to rebuild. A joy you have almost forgotten how to feel.
In the valley, YHWH asked Ezekiel whether those bones could live. The prophet entrusted the answer to Him: only He knew. Then YHWH commanded him to speak, and the bones began to come together. Breath entered them, and they stood.
This design is for those standing in their own valley: the intercessors, builders, mothers, fathers, worshippers, and watchmen who refuse to let visible conditions have the final word.
Speak to the bones.
Not from wishful thinking, but from agreement with YHWH.
Not because the valley denies death, but because the breath of YHWH still raises what death could not keep.
Let that account give words to your own prayer:
“YHWH, I see dry bones. You see what I cannot. If You speak life, they shall live. Teach me to hear Your voice and obey You here.”
For the ones learning to live fully after a hard season, may this piece become a remembrance as you return to the table, pray over your children, build your home, and make room for joy again.
The paint-splattered cotton garment gives each piece the character of something marked in the making. Paired with the richly illustrated Ezekiel 37 artwork, it feels less like a basic tee and more like a testimony carried on the body.
