When Yoḥanan saw Yehoshua approaching, he declared, “See, the Lamb of Elohim who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29). Revelation 5 gives us another glimpse: the Lamb who was slain, standing in victory and receiving power, riches, wisdom, strength, respect, esteem, and blessing.

He was not overcome by the suffering represented by the thorns. He willingly laid down His life, and He rose. The Lamb is also our Shepherd, the One who searches for His own, leads them out, and calls them by name.
